Elizabeth and her sisters and mother would be left destitute if not at least one of the girls marry well to support the others. Vilken fantastisk bok! Man kan verkligen förstå varför Jane Austen har läst och beundrats i över 100 år. Boken gestaltar hur livet tedde sig förr i tiden och man dras in i karaktärerna och vill veta hur det går (bra givetvis:-)). Det är lätt att förstå varför boken har blivit såväl serie som film, i olika versioner. Själv ska jag lyssna mig igenom Austens bibliografi. Låna och lyssna!
